Kelly Roper, LSW
Kelly is a Licensed Social Work Candidate and is pursuing his LCSW. He obtained his Master of Social Work from the University of Oklahoma. His path to becoming a licensed therapist was unconventional, however it was driven by a desire to help make a difference in the lives of young adults, children and their families. This decision marked the beginning of a new chapter dedicated to the therapeutic field, where he now employs his experience and skills to offer
compassionate and effective support to his clients.
Specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and motivational interviewing, he integrates these modalities to create a holistic and client-centered approach. His use of CBT enables him to help individuals identify and challenge negative thought patterns, fostering healthier ways of thinking and behaving. Through mindfulness practices, he guides clients in developing greater self-awareness and emotional regulation, empowering them to navigate life’s challenges with resilience. Motivational interviewing, another cornerstone of his practice, allows Kelly to work collaboratively with clients, supporting them in finding their intrinsic motivation and setting achievable goals.
Kellys’ focus on young adults, children, and families is both a professional and personal passion. His work with young adults is rooted in an understanding of the transitional challenges they face, from identity formation to career development. By providing a supportive and empathetic environment, he helps them build confidence and navigate these pivotal years with greater clarity and purpose.
