Claire Witt (she, her), MA, LPCC
Claire (she, her) earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. She supports clients working through anxiety, depression, life changes, interpersonal stressors, LGBTQ+ issues, traumatic events, challenging childhoods, and grief and loss.
Claire recognizes the mind-body connection and practices from an integrated person centered lens. She practices using a blend of holistic approaches including humanistic, narrative, somatic, feminist, mindfulness and strengths based, and emotionally focused. If and when desired by clients, she engages with visualizations and somatic regulating exercises. Claire keeps various fidget toys, coloring pages, and games available for clients of all ages.
Claire recognizes clients as the experts of their own lives and views the therapeutic relationship as a type of dance between curious people. She believes therapy can be for anyone, and engages in her own personal therapy journey as well. It is important to her that clients feel heard, accepted, encouraged, supported, and challenged.
In her free time, Claire enjoys hiking, painting, jigsaw puzzles, and exploring new places. She loves plants, pets, and soup.
