Ayana Quintero, LPCC

Ayana Quintero is a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) with a wealth of knowledge and first hand experience in the field of mental health counseling. At 29 years old, Ayana holds a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Clinical
Psychology. Her professional journey has been marked by a deep commitment to helping individuals navigate through life's challenges and find effective solutions to their problems and crisis situations.

Specializing in adolescent and crisis counseling as well as marriage and family therapy, Ayana's therapeutic approach is grounded in solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy. While she values these evidence-based practices, Ayana believes in the importance of adapting her counseling approach to meet the unique needs of each client. She
understands that counseling is not simply black or white, and strives to create a supportive and empowering environment for her clients to explore and grow.

 

Ayana's diverse background includes extensive experience working with minority populations, emphasizing diversity and cultural competence in her practice. She is dedicated to providing inclusive and affirming care to clients from all backgrounds, with a particular focus on addressing the unique
challenges faced by marginalized communities. Her work with adolescent clients, families, couples, and individuals encompasses issues related to grief, addiction, crisis, immigration, religious concerns, and more.

 

Outside of her professional work, Ayana enjoys an active lifestyle and finds solace visiting beaches with her husband. She is an avid traveler who seeks to immerse herself in different cultures and experiences. Ayana's personal interests and experiences enrich her practice as a therapist, allowing her to connect with clients on a deeper level and provide empathetic and understanding support.
