Alyssa Zepeda is a bilingual (Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked diligently to assist children, adults, and families in her community since 2012. She is passionate about empowering and supporting others through the use of evidence-based integrative, and creative approaches. Some of these approaches include but are not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, somatic work, therapeutic movement and mindfulness-based therapy. Alyssa is also EMDR-trained. With experience and training ranging from psychotherapy, case management, dance movement therapy, as well as prenatal and perinatal support, Alyssa has been able to create a body of work that facilitates holistic well-being across the life span. It is extremely important for Alyssa to support clients in not only feeling safe and empowered but to also experience the therapeutic power of nurturing one’s body, mind, and soul. In addition to being a culturally sensitive and trauma informed clinician and ally, Alyssa also values creating a space that feels spiritually safe, supportive, and inclusive. No matter who you are or where you are from, she is determined to create experiences that are kind, encouraging, and uplifting. Alyssa Zepeda is licensed in California and Colorado. Alyssa Zepeda resides in Tongva Land (Los Angeles, CA). She studied Psychology and Dance at California State University Channel Islands and completed her Master’s in Social Work at California State University Northridge. Alyssa is also studying to become a Dance Movement Therapist and is completing the American Dance Therapy Association’s Alternative Route
Program. Some of her favorite activities include dancing, singing, flower arranging, and cuddling with her dogs.
